The valve is mounted by means of flanges, of standard ASA thickness, which are cast as an integral part of the body. The valve will operate equally well at any angle from horizontal through vertical. This universal design eliminates the need for stocking separate models for different positions, the necessity of changing existing lines or especially positioning new ones, and the problems arising from installing a valve in the wrong orientation.

Miller Check Valves can be installed as close as desired to direction-flow-changing fittings, such as elbows or tee. The center-guided disc will not tilt or stick as a result of unequal pressure distribution across the disc face which would result from the passage of liquid or gas through such fittings.
